Kathleen Carter, originally from South Carolina, is now based in New York City. Favorite regional credits include A Christmas Story (Miss Shields), A Chorus Line (Cassie), On Golden Pond (Chelsea), Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Masha), and Steel Magnolias (Shelby). She has appeared in national commercials for names like Tanqueray and Amway. She has also choreographed and danced in small production music videos. She is thrilled to spending her summer at The Post Playhouse!

Originally from Hot Springs, South Dakota, Samuel is a Junior at Chadron State College, pursuing a Comprehensive Theatre degree with a focus in performance. Samuel has previously appeared at the Post Playhouse as Pugsley in The Addams Family, and as an ensemble member of Beauty and the Beast. Notable roles at Chadron State College include Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher and William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Samuel would like to say thank you to his friends and family for their continual support, as well as the wonderful people at the Post Playhouse for having him on for another great season.

Jane is excited and pleased to be returning to the Post Playhouse after a 35 year hiatus. In 1982 she managed the ticket office, appeared in two melodramas, olio acts, and the touring children’s theater. Her most recent claims to fame were in the Scottsbluff, Nebraska centennial play, Through Her Eyes, in the leading role as Elizabeth Strickler, and Miss Watson in the Theater West production of Big River. Throughout high school and college (Chadron State College) Jane participated in many plays and a few musicals. She is now a retired elementary teacher substituting for Chadron Public Schools. After all this time the call of the theater has lured her back. She will be filling in for Marge Rotherham for a few performances as the mother in Crazy for You, and an ensemble member in Young Frankenstein. She would like to thank Tom Ossowski and Dewayne Barrett for taking an interest in her at the May 6th auditions.

Marge is pleased to be returning to the Post Playhouse for her 10th season. Previously, in the 1990s, she appeared as Quiser Bourdreaux, (Steal Magnolias) and in the Olio’s for the Melodrama. After a several year hiatus, her most recent roles include Mama Lily (Hank Williams: Lost Highway) Aunt Eller, (Oklahoma), Miss Lynch, (Grease), Mrs. Potter-Porter and Ensemble, (Annie Get Your Gun), Ensemble, (Hollywood: A Cabaret), Agatha and Mission Band Member, (Guys and Dolls) Baroness Elberfeld, (The Sound of Music) The Queen, (Cinderella) Townsperson, (Beauty and the Beast).

Marge would like to thank all of the directors and all of the support staff in the past 50 years that have brought such great, quality entertainment to this area. Also, to all of the actors who have become a part of the 50-year history of the Post Playhouse. But, most importantly, thanks for all of the long-lasting friendships and the memories that have resulted from 50 years of wonderful. Vince sends his love to you all from Heaven.

When she isn’t playing the piano or singing, she loves to read, play chess with her Dad, ride bikes and do anything and everything with her sister. Keslyn May Vogel is happy to be returning to Post Playhouse for the 50th anniversary season. Keslyn is 9 years old and will be a fourth grader this coming fall. Previous roles at Post include being a mouse and coachman in Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and Marta in The Sound of Music. Keslyn enjoys singing and dancing, collecting unicorn figurines, playing sports, rollerblading, reading books, and collecting rocks and studying them. Keslyn is grateful for this opportunity and wants to thank Mom, Dad, and Dewayne for allowing her this amazing opportunity!

Kylah Jo Vogel is ecstatic to be returning for her 4th season at the Post Playhouse. Previous roles at the Post include Brigitta in The Sound of Music, a mouse and coachman in Cinderella, and most recently Chip in Beauty and the Beast. She will be a 7th grader at Crawford Jr./Sr. High School. Kylah Jo enjoys running, singing, playing basketball and shooting hoops, reading an array of books, watching The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. She would like to thank her parents and grandparents for their love and support but mostly thankful to God for her talents and love for the arts!

Josh Fitch is excited to be working this year for the Post Playhouse. Growing up in a small village named Elm Creek, Josh Fitch transferred from Chadron State College and is now attending college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Josh Fitch is a junior this year and is planning on graduating in two more years. Josh is getting his major in Theatre and a minor in marketing management. Josh Fitch has been a part of many show throughout his college carrier. Josh has stage managed Money Shot at Chadron State College. Josh was also the assistant stage manager for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. While at UNK Josh has stage managed two shows, Hecuba, and The Threepenny Opera. Josh has been building theatrical sets for Crane River Theatre out of Kearney for three years now. Josh is happy to be at the Post Playhouse for its 50th year.

Ken is extremely happy to be coming back to a place that feels like a second home. This is his 4th consecutive year being the Production Stage Manager for the Post Playhouse! He is currently working on an MFA in Lighting Design at the University of Arizona. In the past, he has worked as a freelance Stage Manager in LA working at different venues from AMDA Conservatory College to Disney’s El Capitan Theatre. He has also been a Stage Combat enthusiast for many years and enjoys helping others bring sword fights and brawls to the stage. He is thrilled for this season and is very proud to work with some amazing people, new and old.

Jessica Steffen-Schepers, originally from Sturgis, South Dakota, is a recent graduate of Chadron State College (CSC) with a Bachelors Degree in Comprehensive Theatre- Emphasis Tech. While at CSC, Jessica had the opportunity to stage manage several different shows. Mostly recently Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind. Jessica is returning for her third season with the Post Playhouse and is very excited to celebrate 50 years of theatre entertainment in the Nebraska Panhandle. As a recent graduate she has nothing planned and is very excited for the future.

Weeks before starting the season at the Post Playhouse, Eric Agsten graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a B.S. in Communications Media, and a minor in Theater. He spent the last three semesters of his undergrad as Sound Designer/Engineer for four of the IUP Theater Department’s shows, including a musical (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), a play (We Are Proud To Present…), an operetta (Die Fledermaus), and a devised piece (The Electriad).

Dewayne is very excited to be returning to the post playhouse this season as Artistic director as well as Directing and choreographing this season. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, he moved to New York City and began his career/training in the Big Apple. He has performed leading roles around the country such as Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, Bobby Child in Crazy For You, Riff in West Side Story, Bobby in A Chorus Line to name a few. He has directed and choreographed for national tours, regional theatres, dinner theaters, community theatres, cruise ships, movies, high schools, music videos, parades and dance companies. He know resides in Florida.

In Venice, Florida he recently directed the area premiere of Billy Elliot the Musical as well as EDM Antigone the Rock Opera with Don Fox in Wenatchee, Washington. Don and Dewayne are planning several US tours of EDM Antigone. He is currently in the works with Phillip Michael Thomas from Miami Vice with a new musical with eyes set for Broadway.

Max has music directed for a variety of west coast companies, shows such as Tommy, Altar Boyz, Into the Woods, The Wiz and many more. He is the arranger/orchestrator for the new musical, Escaping Queens, with readings in New York and on the west coast. Performance credits include Anything Goes, Urinetown, Bash and the Tom Lehrer-curated Shakespeare Deconstructed. He’s composed original music for the plays Touch, and The Nether, and the documentary The Last Captain.

Pheobe Boynton is thrilled to be returning to The Post Playhouse for her fourth season! She is a freelance costume designer and technician originally from Ithaca, NY and currently based out of Los Angeles, California. She has a bachelors in art history from Cornell University, and an MFA in theater design and technology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has done work for a wide variety of clients and companies including the Los Angeles Opera, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Kanye West, Kansas City Repertory Theater, The Unicorn Theater, Legendary Digital, Relativity Media, Investigation Discovery and Theatrical Arts International.

Don is happy to be returning for his 4th season at the Post Playhouse.  A native of Colorado Springs, CO, he is based in Wenatchee, WA.  Recent and favorite credits include lighting design for the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, (Great American Variety Show), The Borgata Casino, Atlantic City, NJ (The Burlesque Show), Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL (All Shook Up, Legally Blonde), The Moscow Ballet North American Tours 2014, 2015 (The Great Russian Nutcracker), Numerica Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee, WA (Young Frankenstein, August Osage County), and he recently created and produced the world premiere of EDM Antigone which is available as an educational production to tour nationally in 2017-2018 (www.edmAntigone.com). Leo Haselhorst is excited to be returning to the Post again this summer as tech director. A native of Randolph Nebraska, Leo is currently pursuing a BA in graphic design and theatre at Chadron State College. Leo has a variety of experience through carpentry and technical work at CSC, the Post Playhouse, and the Numerica Performing Arts Center. Josh Hemmo is very excited to be working at the Post Playhouse for the first time! He is from Tucson, AZ and graduated with a BFA in Technical Theatre, Lighting Design emphasis from the University of Arizona. He recently partnered with Don Fox and has become a part of Don Fox Designs, LLC! Select credits include lighting fellow at Berkeley Rep, resident lighting designer for Totem Pole Playhouse, Show Risqué for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi, and Bat Boy for the Numerica Performing Arts Center in Wenatchee, WA.

Tom Ossowski is an Associate Professor for the BFA Music Theatre Program at FSU, the Producing Artistic Director for the Post Playhouse at Fort Robinson State Park in Nebraska, and a Professor for the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, China. At the Post Playhouse, Tom has directed Legally Blonde, Monty Python’s Spamalot, A Man of No Importance, All Shook Up, Guys and Dolls, 9 to 5, My Way, The Drowsy Chaperone, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Nunsense!, Always…Patsy Cline, Hello, Dolly!, and Oklahoma!. FSU directing credits include Beauty & the Beast, All Shook Up, Legally Blonde, Cabaret, The Drowsy Chaperone, How To Succeed…, On The Town, Hair, The Rocky Horror Show, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Music directing credits include A Chorus Line, Ragtime, Spring Awakening, Jesus Christ Superstar, The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee, RENT, Into The Woods, and Urinetown. Tom directed and music directed Into The Woods and The Family for The Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. The Family toured China and will be released as a major motion picture across China in 2017. Tom has also directed for theatres such as the Centennial Theatre Festival in Connecticut, Seaside Music Theatre in Daytona Beach, FL, and the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Montana. His work has taken him to Zug, Switzerland and to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

Ken Phillips

Ken is extremely happy to be coming back to a place that feels like a second home. This is his 4th consecutive year being the Production Stage Manager for the Post Playhouse! He is currently working on an MFA in Lighting Design at the University of Arizona. In the past, he has worked as a freelance Stage Manager in LA working at different venues from AMDA Conservatory College to Disney’s El Capitan Theatre. He has also been a Stage Combat enthusiast for many years and enjoys helping others bring sword fights and brawls to the stage. He is thrilled for this season and is very proud to work with some amazing people, new and old.

Sarah Pool is excited to be joining the team at Post Playhouse for the first time as the Music Director for Shrek, Chicago, and Crazy for You. She holds a B.M. in Piano Performance from Dallas Baptist University, and has spent the last two years as Music Directing Intern at PCPA in Santa Maria, CA. During her time at PCPA, she was the Assistant Music Director for Lend Me a Tenor, Beauty and the Beast, In the Heights, Shrek the Musical, Pirates of Penzance, Cinderella, Man of La Mancha, and My Fair Lady. She was the Music Director for conservatory project productions of Urinetown and RENT. Max has music directed for a variety of west coast companies, shows such as Tommy, Altar Boyz, Into the Woods, The Wiz and many more. He is the arranger/orchestrator for the new musical, Escaping Queens, with readings in New York and on the west coast. Performance credits include Anything Goes, Urinetown, Bash and the Tom Lehrer-curated Shakespeare Deconstructed. He’s composed original music for the plays Touch, and The Nether, and the documentary The Last Captain.

David Lindsay-Abaire is a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, screenwriter, lyricist and librettist. His most recent play, Ripcord, opens this fall at Manhattan Theatre Club. His previous play Good People premiered on Broadway, was awarded the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, The Horton Foote Prize, The Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, and two Tony nominations. His play Rabbit Hole received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, five Tony nominations, and the Spirit of America Award. David also wrote the book and lyrics for Shrek the Musical, which was nominated for eight Tonys, four Oliviers, a Grammy, and earned David the Ed Kleban Award as America’s most promising musical theatre lyricist. David’s other plays include Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World and A Devil Inside, among others. In addition to his work in theatre, David’s screen credits include his film adaptation of Rabbit Hole, Dreamworks’ Rise of the Guardians, and the upcoming Family Fang, starring Nicole Kidman, Christopher Walken and Jason Bateman.

Jeanine Tesori

Jeanine Tesori won the Tony Award for Best Original Score with Lisa Kron for the musical Fun Home, which is currently playing on Broadway. She has also written Tony-nominated scores for Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center; Thoroughly Modern Millie (lyrics, Dick Scanlan); Caroline, or Change (lyrics, Tony Kushner); and Shrek The Musical (lyrics, David Lindsay-Abaire). The production of Caroline, or Change at the National Theatre in London received the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Her 1997 Off-Broadway musical Violet (lyrics, Brian Crawley) opened on Broadway in 2014 and garnered four Tony nominations, including Best Musical Revival. Opera: A Blizzard on Marblehead Neck (libretto, Tony Kushner; Glimmerglass) and The Lion, The Unicorn, and Me (libretto, J. D. McClatchy, Kennedy Center). Music for plays: Mother Courage (dir. For the past few years, all the mailings and the website have been designed by Don. He is very proud to continue to help the Playhouse reach for new heights even from afar.

Tim Gaswick

Tim is the franchise owner of the Chadron H&R Block office, and has been the accountant for the playhouse since 2007. He and his wife Kari have four children, Kaylee, Aaron, Braxton, and Seth. Tim not only serves as the accountant, but also as the treasurer on the playhouse board. He enjoys working with the great talent and staff every summer, and looks forward to many years with the playhouse.

Samuel T. Martin is delighted to return for a second season at the Post Playhouse. Originally from Hot Springs, South Dakota, Samuel is a Junior at Chadron State College, pursuing a Comprehensive Theatre degree with a focus in performance. Samuel has previously appeared at the Post Playhouse as Pugsley in The Addams Family, and as an ensemble member of Beauty and the Beast. Notable roles at Chadron State College include Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher and William Barfee in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Samuel would like to say thank you to his friends and family for their continual support, as well as the wonderful people at the Post Playhouse for having him on for another great season.

Heather is an Arizona native newly relocated to Texas. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Technical Theatre, Lighting design and technology emphasis. She has worked often with Artifact Dance Company in Tucson doing both lighting and stage management and was most recently the Stage Manager on Surrounding Dillinger. A teacher, she has also been the head of the drama program at Camp Robin Hood in New Hampshire for the last several summers. This is her first season at the Post Playhouse and is ecstatic to be joining the team.

Crawford native, Ann Stephens, is happy to be returning to the Post Playhouse for the 2017 season. At the Playhouse, she can often be found cleaning, popping corn, watering plants, or making reservations. Ann enjoys the opportunity to visit with returning customers as well as greeting those new to the Playhouse experience. In addition to her work here, Ann enjoys baking and spending time with grandkids and the rest of her family. Her husband, Dale, is an avid golfer and can be found nearly every day of the spring, summer and autumn on the Legend Buttes Golf course in Crawford.
