The 2016 Post Playhouse, Inc., Season Announced

Wow! Do we ever have a season planned for 2016, the 49th year of our existence. We think you are going to love the musicals that were chosen with you in mind. So plan to see the magic of:

Disney’s Beauty And The Beast

The Addams Family

Cabaret

Legally Blonde

Monty Python’s Spamalot

Season Subscriptions are now available for your holiday gift-giving needs. They may be purchased for a 4-show or a 5-show package and may be obtained online or over the phone. If you prefer to order your subscriptions by telephone, you may do so by calling our winter box office at 1-888-665-1976.

Day one ticket sales changes

In the past, on the first day of ticket sales, we have a season calendar ready to go and allow season subscription purchases and individual ticket purchases. Right now, we can only offer season subscriptions which will allow you to choose your shows, dates, and seats at your convenience all the way through the summer as they always have. Individual tickets will still be available to you, but not until November 18.

We apologize for that inconvenience which came about because of prolonged negotiations with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for the use of theatre-related facilities at Ft. Robinson State Park for 2016.

Ticket Prices

We believe that the results of the aforementioned negotiations will effectively limit our future ability to have, at our disposal, funds necessary for our basic operations. We had a plan for how to keep from needing to raise prices for several years, but due to the negotiations, we are in the unfortunate position of raising prices two years in a row (or close our doors). We will work as hard as we can to keep this from happening again in the near future. Therefore, if you would be interested in helping us assure the long-term viability of the Post Playhouse, Inc., you may make a donation for that purpose by sending it to H & R Block, Tim Gaswick, PO Box 749, Chadron, NE 69337. Any financial assistance you could give us would be gratefully appreciated.

This may be shocking news to hear after we had the most successful year in our history last summer. We will release as much information about this situation as we can in the near future. Thank you, our faithful patrons, for all your continued --- and much needed --- support.

Update November 13, 2015:
The original date mentioned for individual ticket availability was November 14th. Due to marketing materials being delayed in the mail, that date has been changed to November 18th. Bizarre but true, that some digital materials from the rights holders are actually still sent in the mail.
